I was recommended to wear the EVB shorts by my physio after going back running after a 15 year absence from athletics. I'd been going to her for hip bursitis but the old pelvic floor was starting to cause a problem pounding the roads when I upped the miles training for my first marathon...which I should've expected after 2 children 2 episiotomy's and a tear. These shorts are just amazing they pull you up and support your womb and back which I found helped my posture stopped me slouching as much when I got tired . I did my first marathon in Longford in August after only going back running in March and for 2018 I've set myself a new challenge of Gael Force West and I plan on wearing the Capri pants this time. I'm no record breaker any more but I love that I can get out and set new challenges for myself and show my girls the positive affects of sport on our health and well being and these shorts have given me the confidence to go and do that again. These should be advertised on every maternity ward and gyms not just women only gyms. Thanks. Theresa.
My patients have reported back to me just how much confidence they feel they have when they are wearing EVB Sports, enabling them to run when they otherwise would not have had that option. Women who have prolapse have found the perineal support excellent when exercising. And women with symptoms of dragging or pain have also found the lift in perineal position very helpful in getting through a day, even when it is just about activities of daily living. I would highly recommend it as an option across any urogynecology or colorectal patients.
I was wearing EVB Sport shorts during the games, and it gave me the support and confidence I needed to make hard impacts and good runs! They are amazing! This is real support sportswear for real women!
I was introduced to EVB Sport last year and I now play basketball knowing I am protecting my core. The support you get from the compression panels is second to none and I absolutely love how they feel on. They are like a second skin. I won't be playing without them.
These shorts are designed to help to support the pelvic floor especially during exercise. They also provide support to lower back and abdominal muscles, particularly after stretching during childbirth.
For keeping fit, use supportive gear such as EVB Sportswear designed by Irish woman Yvonne Brady. They elevate the perineum against the urethra and are especially useful for younger women who want to exercise.
Great core support, no chaffing & a PB - are they designed as ‘go faster’ shorts too?
I've started wearing EVB sport shorts to the gym recently as the exercises are getting very intense, lots of squats and lunges, so far they have been fantastic. My trainer has also introduced sprinting into my running routine, and again because of weak pelvic floor muscles, I wasn't looking forward to these - but the EVB shorts again were great. I can exercise and run with confidence. Amazing product.
Diagnosed with Postpartum Compression Fractures
I feel euphoric
I just wanted to say thank you for developing such an amazing product.
I used to love running in the past and completed marathons and half marathons.
I had a little boy in December 2015 and 6 weeks later, after severe back pain and a stay in hospital, I was diagnosed with compression fractures from pregnancy associated osteoporosis. After months of little exercises my muscles were very weak. I’ve made a great recovery however every time I attempted a gentle run, I’d leak urine excessively..
I recently attended a new physio at the Milltown Physiotherapy Clinic in Dublin, who recommended your shorts.
Today was the first time in 2 years I ran with confidence and without soaking myself!! I feel euphoric and i wanted to thank you for developing a product that really works.
The EVB pants are game changing!
Physiotherapist at Absolute.Physio
I am a huge advocate for EVB Sport
I have experienced the benefits of the sports wear as both a user (wearing the shorts particularly in the postpartum periods after each of my babies) and as a Physiotherapist who recommends them to clients.
I have found that the support they provide to the perineum is protective and facilitates recovery alongside pelvic floor rehabilitation. After experiencing the shorts myself I realised that the high waist design offers beneficial abdominal and back support and I began recommending them to diastasis clients.
The feedback has been great and clinically I find the protective support that they offer enables my clients to continue with safe forms of exercise and rehab without fear and the abdominal support helps prevent excessive pressure exerting outwards against the connective tissue. This empowers them to carry out more functional rehab and therefore encourages progression
