Don’t Grin and Bear It – Introducing Innovo

Introducing InnovoWe met the guys from Innovo some time ago and it was a revelation. These are guys that share the same mission and vision as us here at EVB. That mission? To prevent, to strengthen, to treat weak pelvic floor. Both of us don’t want women (and men) to just treat the symptoms, we both want to work on the underlying cause and strengthen yourself.

We manufacture sportswear and Innovo manufacture pelvic floor muscle strengthening and nerve stimulation products.

While fashion bloggers get sent the latest bag or shoes from Prada or Chanel, we get pelvic floor equipment. And do you know the funny thing? We are as excited to try it as we would be about getting the latest YSL lipstick!

This is a product that has been proven to really help strengthen the pelvic floor. So once I try it, I’ll make sure to review my findings.

The way it works is this: You wear a two part garment attached to your upper thigh and bum, like shorts. There is a hand held controller attached to them which sends targeted impulses via a set of conductive pads to safely and effectively activate all the muscles of the pelvic floor or to calm your bladder. It is proven technology, designed to optimally strengthen your pelvic floor with 180 perfect contractions per session, allowing the device to do your pelvic floor exercises for you. No it’s not cheating and I have to say, that the engineer in me is very intrigued.

Results from an independent study prove that women who experience stress incontinence will experience significant improvements in as little as four weeks by using INNOVO® five days a week for 30 minutes.

So give me a bit of time and I’ll let you know how I get on.

Pelvic Floor Survey Findings

In the meantime, I wanted to share their survey. They asked over 1,000 adults in Ireland about the impact of weak bladder issues, medically known as urinary incontinence.

These are the key findings that, quite honestly, saddened me.

  • Over half (54%) of Irish women have experienced weak bladder issues.
  • 63% said it impacted on their social life
  • 55% said it made them feel frustrated

  • 1 in 2 considered it a taboo subject & difficult to discuss

This is not part of the normal aging process ladies. We are in the business of prevention and support. So too is Innovo. What a good way to summarise their product (and ours!).

End embarrassment. Treat it, don't just put up with it - pelvic floor help

We all need to share this information with our sisters, friends – I think education is key. If people knew about the equipment out there that helps rather than just hides, I think these numbers will be a lot less.

#betheinspiration and remember #protectyourcore.
