Excellent article in today’s Irish Times regarding sales of incontinence products on the rise across the globe. ‘Marketers say a big reason for this is the huge spike in sales among women aged between 30 and 50 stateside. Manufacturers are even dropping their elderly spokespeople for models in their 40s, having developed more discreet products for what they see as a more physically active generation in need of protection. In fact, some estimates suggest the market for adult incontinence garments could equal that of babies’ nappies within just a decade’ as quoted in the article’!!!
Our clinical partner Maeve Whelan talks about the many solutions on the market for women who require intervention in the article but if ever there was a time for more information and education of how to protect the most important core muscle group, that time is now. At EVB Sport the technology in our active wear protects this muscle group from overloading and negative tension build up. We are committed to providing real solutions to improve pelvic health world wide and we are looking forward to the next phase of research and development at University College Dublin in the coming weeks.
