Can I wear EVBs while pregnant?
We do not advise that you wear our product when pregnant. We are currently in design stage of pregnancy range. Please register your interest here for further updates on our pregnancy range info@evbsport.com
Can I exercise in EVBs?
Yes, EVB’s are suitable for all sports from walking, running, tennis, hockey, cycling and horse-riding etc. They were designed to be worn during exercise and can be worn on their own or with your own sports wear over them.
Patterned leggings are good to camouflage the panels/seams so no one will know you are wearing them. We have created a textured legging that is super at hiding the seams. Many women are wearing the EVB shorts (like cycling shorts) on their own as they can see top fashion designers copying the panel design. However our customers know they are getting a garment is classified as a medical devise and therefore functional as well as stylish.
How often should I wear EVB’s?
EVB’s were designed to take pressure off the pelvic floor muscles whilst exercising or moving. This can include walking, gardening, daily activities like shopping or collecting kids etc. For women participating in high impact sport like running, horse riding, hiking etc they are an excellent support garment to protect your core.
EVB’s will stop you from actively over-bracing your muscles as you try to support the organs yourself or in response to your symptoms. This will, in turn, stop negative tension build up from the over bracing. The EVB’s then facilitate the correct action for you as a reminder of what it is that you should be doing yourself. No two women experience pelvic floor challenges the same and it is for this reason that we recommend you consult your medical team to ensure you are exercising safely and preventing long term damage. They will be able to assess you and provide you with a programme to keep you training or moving and leading your best life.
What is the difference in products?
Our shorts and boxer briefs are designed for high impact activities compared to our leggings and capris, which offer less pelvic support. However the leggings or capris are suitable for low impact activities. The shorts are higher on the waist and longer on the legs than the boxer briefs.
Many women over 5ft 5’’ prefer the shorts as the boxer briefs may ride up after long periods of exercise. The shorts can be worn under leggings as an undergarment or base layer or on equally they look great on their own.
The textured leggings and bamboo underwear are non-supportive garments designed to complement EVBs. The bamboo underwear are ultra soft on the skin for anyone feeling sensitive in this area. They are seamless and as such do not interfere with the engineering principles of the EVB’s. We chose bamboo for its sustainability and our biodegradable packaging is another step we are taking to help the environment.

Can I wear my own sportswear over the shorts or boxer briefs?
Yes, you can wear leggings over the boxer briefs and even the shorts. Our Patterned leggings can camouflage the panels on the evb’s if you are conscious of the panels. Don’t be afraid to get them and try them out at home. If you are not satisfied, we will offer you your money back.
We have created a textured legging to wear over the evb’s that are great at camouflaging the seams. This is a good option if you do not want other people knowing you are wearing supportive garments. Many of our customers wear them on their own and they see the panels as a great design element. It should be noted that many of the top designers in 2022 have brought out a range of shapewear and active wear with panels similar to ours. They of course are not classified as a medical devise and so EVB’s are both stylish and functional.
Do I wear underwear with them?
It is a personal choice whether you wear underwear with your EVBs and this has no effect on the engineering principles in the EVBs. There is a mesh lining in the crotch area where you can slip in a pantyliner if you needed to (with the paper still attached at the back so it is easy to put in and remove). Our new bamboo underwear are an excellent compliment to the evb’s. They are seamless, very soft and sustainable helping you and the environment.
How do I wash my EVBs?
You can wash your EVB’s in a 30-degree wash. Do not iron. Do not tumble dry. We recommend 40 washes before the need to replace.
How do I know if the fit is right?
Most women know straight away if the fit is right for them or not. They can feel the difference immediately. If you are unsure contact us for a post sale virtual fitting with a trained fitter with over 10 years experience. Email info@evbsport.com for an appointment.
After 10 years assessing the fit on women we will know if they are right for you or not. When you try the EVBs on, be guided by your instincts and how you feel in the EVBs. Do you feel supported/ are you too restricted? You should be able to fit your fingers between the waistband and your stomach but not pull the garment out too much. Ruffling of the supportive panels or any excess material in the crotch area indicates they are too big. If the waistband is digging in this is a sign that they are too tight. We recommend bringing your EVBs to your pelvic floor physiotherapist also and trying them on there so you can be sure you will be armed with all the right information to keep you exercising/moving safely.
Can I return EVBs?
Yes, if your EVBs are unworn (bar trying on) and unwashed you can return them to us. Please send them back to us at

General pelvic challenges

If you are under 5ft 5’’ generally the boxer briefs are the best option. However if you are a runner and exercise over 5km the boxers will tend to ride up and therefore the shorts are the best option. If you carry weight on your thighs the shorts are also a better option. They are longer and stay at the thigh better and don’t ride up. The evb leggings are suitable for yoga or pilates and the capris are suitable for medium to low impact exercise. The shorts and boxers offer superior support for pelvic challenges and can be worn as a base layer or outerwear. Our textured leggings are a great addition and if you want to camouflage the panelling on the base layer of the evb garments they offer superb coverage. Don’t be afraid to try them on and feel the difference. If you don’t we will offer you your money back.

How do EVB’s work?
Each garment is hand made and it takes 18 processes to complete a single one. The unique blend of materials and type of seams used in the manufacturing process help to mimic the pelvic floor muscles, elevating the bladder neck and preventing the internal organs from bouncing up and down.
9 out of 10 women prefer EVB garments over their own support garments in a Study carried out in Trinity College Dublin (2017)
Bladder leakage in 83% of women was reduced or eliminated in a study in Royal College of Surgeons (2015)
82% of those tested in a study carried out in Trinity College Dublin reported increase levels of confidence and security as compared with only 41% of women wearing their own support garments.
In ultrasound tests EVB’s have been shown to prevent vaginal wall from coming down or prolapsing. (R&D dept EVB Sport & Core)
In ultrasound tests EVB’s have been shown to lift bladder neck to a greater degree than by contracting your pelvic floor yourself. (R&D dept EVB Sport & Core).
Posture improvements and biomechanical improvements were reported in School of Biomedical Engineering University College Dublin (2019).

Is there a pocket?
Yes, there is a small pocket on the inside of the product. It is big enough for a single key, credit card or a note. There is also a zip pocket at the back of the garment in the shorts, capris and legging version.
Can I wear it every day?
EVB’s can be worn daily. They will stop you from actively over-bracing your muscles as you try to support the organs yourself or in response to your symptoms. This will, in turn, stop negative tension built up from the bracing. The EVB’s then facilitate the correct action for you as a reminder of what it is that you should be doing yourself. This is in contrast to causing the muscles to become weak.
Does it help with prolapse?
Yes, Women who have prolapse have found the perineal support excellent when exercising and women with symptoms of dragging or pain have also found the lift in the perineal position very helpful in getting through a day even when it is just about activities of daily living. Our clinical partners recommend EVB’s as an option across any urogynecology or colorectal patients. Research shows that only 25% of women post-partum have normal pelvic organ support. Bouncing up and down on a hard surface causes an impact that is 3 times your body weight! So for a 10-stone person, the impact transmission rate is approx 30 stone on your body. EVB sportswear absorbs the impact and aligns the pelvis in the correct position reducing risk of long-term damage and improving performance
