EVB Sport Explained

EVB Sport Explained

What is EVB Sport?

EVB Sport is a sportswear company that designs and manufactures shorts, capris and leggings with a difference. It helps women to return or continue to exercise knowing their core muscles are supported.

Why is Core so Important?

There are approximately 640 muscles in the body. Some of which are the visible ones like biceps, triceps, glutes and quads. But what supports them and the rest of the body are three core muscle layers. These muscle layers, known as the Pelvic Floor, are practically invisible and rarely spoken about, let alone exercised. The pelvic floor muscles form the base of the group of muscles called the core.

Lower back pain, abdominal discomfort, light bladder leakage, prolapse are symptoms of a weakened pelvic floor and if you exercise, the symptoms worsen.

Why EVB Sport?

EVB Sportswear ExplainedEVB Sport Shorts act like a really good sports bra…for your core.

The technology in the sportswear mimics the floor muscles and the function of the pelvic floor muscles to create a hugging type effect. The elasticated high waist with compression uplift helps to stablise the internal organs and prevent them from bouncing up and down.

They encourage the correct position of the pelvis. They will stop you from actively over-bracing your muscles as you try to support the organs yourself or in response to your symptoms.

Why do you need to support your core muscles?

Your core is a your powerhouse – hence it’s name really! It facilitates movement – from reaching up to get a cup out of the cupboard to running a marathon. But it also houses your inner organs and your central nervous system.

A strong core:

  • makes it easier to undertake physical activities
  • improves balance and stability
  • gives you confidence

What should I do if I have a weak core?

Having a weak core is something that can be worked on. Our sportswear give you strength so you don’t need to mask or hide your symptoms. They prevent injuries occurring by encouraging the correct position of the pelvis.
